Meet Our Team
E. Beyene MD
Our medical director, Dr. Beyene, earned a BS in Medical Technology from GMU (George Mason University). He received his MD from George Washington University and completed a prestigious internal medicine residency at GWU Medical Center. He also completed fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine and a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Washington DC VA Medical Center.
Dr. Beyene is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the founder of a Washington Metro Sleep Institute and a Washington Metro school for sleep technicians.
Dr. Beyene is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Medical Technologist Section of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. He is also the medical director of the ventilator units at St. Thomas Moore Medical Center in Hyattsville, MD.
Dr. Beyene personally diagnoses every sleep study at Sleep!
D. Cooper DDS
A graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Dentistry, Dr. Cooper started out at a general dental practice in Lexington Park, MD, where he provided outstanding dental care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Cooper participates in a number of professional associations such as St. Mary’s Study Club, Maryland Dental Association, and the Patuxent Dental Society. Dr. Cooper is a recipient of the America’s Top Dentists award as voted by his professional peers for outstanding dentistry.
At Sleep!, Dr. Cooper will treat our OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) patients with oral appliance therapy designed to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of OSA. His presence at Sleep! brings years of quality and experience for the benefit of our patients.
