Our ultra-modern sleep facility is unlike any other. Most sleep study centers are cold and uncomfortable. They feel very clinical or like they were built as an afterthought. Many of them are in hospitals and have a variety of sounds that come along with any overnight hospital stay, making sleep difficult.
At Sleep!, our facility has six luxury bedrooms that provide polysomnography (sleep studies) for sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea. Our facility utilizes state-of-the-art testing equipment in order for us to provide you with an accurate diagnosis.
Comfort and Accuracy
Two of the most important characteristics of Sleep! is that we designed our facility for your comfort and for our testing accuracy. When you arrive, you will notice that our bedrooms look more like a luxury hotel than a sleep study clinic. They each have a private bathroom, flat screen TV, cable, ceiling fan, Sleep Number beds, and Egyptian cotton linens.
We thoughtfully decorated each room and adorned them with elegant details to ensure you feel completely relaxed and comfortable. Your experience with us will seem more like a vacation than a sleep study!
Dr. Beyene, our sleep specialist and medical director, oversees all of the testing procedures at our California, MD sleep treatment center. His expertise combined with the latest equipment and techniques ensures you get the most accurate diagnosis possible.
During a Polosomnograph (Sleep Study)
During the study itself, we will gently attach small sensors to your head, chest, limbs, and finger in order to monitor your body while you sleep. We look at breathing, eye movement, brain activity, blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen. We ask you to get comfortable and you can watch TV or read until you feel drowsy enough for sleep.
During the night, we collect your body’s data and send it to a computer for analysis.
Upon waking, we will assist you in removing your sensors, and you are welcome to use your private bathroom to shower and get ready for work or to head home. We also have a breakfast bar, for your convenience.
After your sleep study, Dr. Beyene will analyze your results. When making a recommendation for treatment, he will review your medical history, your sleep history, and your sleep study results in order to determine the best course of action for you. We will consult with you once we have a chance to review your results and present you with some options that could improve your sleep, your health, and your quality of life.
